KMC Hospital: A man jumps off the third floor

Kathmandu.

A young man jumped from the third floor of KMC Hospital in Sinamangal, and was pronounced dead thereafter. Roshan Khadka, a native of Solukhumbu, had been admitted for treatment on Sunday evening due to a mental health disorder. According to the Police, he died at 8:45 a.m., Monday morning from the fall.

The deceased’s permanent residence was in Jugu, Solukhumbu and he had been living in Baneshwor, Kathmandu. As per the authorities, he had tried to set fire to his body and was, therefore, brought to KMC Hospital for treatment after his hands and feet were burnt. The Metropolitan Police, Gaushala, stated that he had jumped out of the window when his mother who was keeping him company at the hospital had gone to buy his medications.
