Bagmati Chief Minister Poudel hospitalized due to COVID-19
Kathmandu. The Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Dormani Poudel has been brought to Kathmandu by a helicopter after he tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. Currently, Chief Minister Poudel has been admitted to Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center.
The Chief Minister’s health condition has been said to be normal as of yet. However, he had undergone a heart surgery a while ago and was, thus, brought to Kathmandu in the case of any possible complications that may arise from it, as mentioned by journalist Rewati Sapkota, press registrar of Bagmati.
“His health condition is normal. Caution has also been exercised due to increased glucose levels and hypertension.” Sapkota told DC Nepal. Chief Minister Poudel, his security personnel, along with his driver and kitchen staff too were confirmed to have tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday. In the days leading up to his hospitalization, he was in home isolation.
