Mumbai, India. Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, on Sunday, while addressing the party’s Dussehra rally for the first time after holding the post of state’s chief minister, lashed at the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over numerous issues.

Thackeray alleged that in last one year many attempts were made by the central government to topple Maharashtra government. He dared the BJP to topple his government. “From the day I became the CM, it was being said that the state government will be toppled. I challenge and say that if you have the courage, do it and show,” he said.

Thackeray attacked the BJP for promising to distribute free Corona vaccines to the people of Bihar if its alliance is voted back to power. He remarked that the central government should treat all states equally and told that the BJP should be ashamed thinking that way.

Thackeray claimed the goods and service tax (GST) system being implemented in India to be flawed and said that it was high time the center reconsidered the system. He accused the Modi government of not helping the state of Maharashtra financially to cope with  natural disasters but worsening it by deferring  INR 380 billion as GST refund.

Thackeray has been criticized by the BJP for not reopening places of worship. “They say my Hindutva is different from that of Balasaheb Thackeray. Your Hindutva is about clanging bells and utensils, our Hindutva is not like that.” Thackeray said “Trouncing terrorists is the Sena’s idea of Hindutva,” he declared.

The Maharashtra CM defended his son Aaditya Thackeray in the Sushant Singh Rajput case and making an indirect reference at Kangana Ranawat told that those defaming Mumbai will have to bear dire consequences.
