Even after 108 years of the sinking of the largest RMS Titanic, only a few hundred professionals have witnessed the ruins with their eyes. The rest have never reached the bottom of the ocean.
Oceangate adventures have recently launched their titanic expeditions through which normal public shall pay and join the survey of the Titanic wreckage that lies 3.7 km below the sea level between May and September 2021.
Stockton Rush, president of the OceanGate Expeditions informed that 3 dozen people have already booked their spots for the 8 days expedition. The ticket is priced at $1,25,000 including sail to the spot, dive on Titan, meals and 96 hours life-support.
According to Rush, OceanGate expeditions does not want to make Titanic a tourist spot. Also, the participants shall be taken as citizen scientists who will be given roles to assist during the technical survey.
Five people can join a session of the dive survey that would be completed within 8 hours.
