Lalitpur secretary of Biplav-led group arrested

Kathmandu. Despite being banned by the Government, for involvement in terrorist activities, Netra Bikram Chand (also known as Biplav) led-Communist Party of Nepal has been carrying out anti-government activities.

On Sunday morning, Nepal Police in Lalitpur arrested Lalitpur Secretary, Savitra Adhikari aka Vidushi on the charge of threatening the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tek Prasad Rai. She was arrested with a flag and banner while preparing to hold an anti-government corner meeting.

Earlier in June, a team led by SSP Rai had arrested a party member, Sanu Raj Bajracharya in the charge of owning illegal explosives. After the incident, Vidhushi had threatened the SSP.

On Thursday, two cadres of the same party were arrested in Morang with weapons, ammunition, explosives and documents.
