Kathmandu. Central Disciplinary Commission of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has urged the top leaders to maintain the party code of conduct. Commission Chair Amrit Kumar Bohara issued a statement on Monday and said that the allegations made by the leaders at each other have created a sense of hopelessness among people.

Chair Bohara noted that bigger disputes within the party had been solved in the past through face to face talks and discussions and suggested the leaders to resolve the problems in the party by calling meeting immediately.

He urged the party’s leadership to implement the decisions of the Standing Committee held on September 11. Stressing on party unity, he told that no one should think of splitting the party as a strong party was necessary to build a prosperous socialist society.

At  present Nepal Communist Party is at crossroads as the conflict between the two groups of Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has even led to talks about splitting the party. The Central Disciplinary Commission of the party has therefore alerted both leaders at this critical juncture to follow rules and system of the party.
