Asif Basra found dead in his private appartment
Kathmandu. 53-year-old Indian actor Asif Basra was found dead on Wednesday in a private guest house in Dharamshala of Himachal Pradesh.
Since his body was discovered hanging near a cafe located in Jogiwara Road, the police along with a forensic team are at the spot investigating whether the case is murder or suicide, as noted by The Hindustan Times.
According to Reports, the actor was sharing a rented house in McLeodganj for the last 5 years with a female friend. He also was suffering from depression. After hearing the uncertain demise, many Bollywood celebs have expressed their shock and paid tribute to the late Basra.
Asif Basra, who was working even during the lockdown, had started his on-screen career 20 years ago. He is famous for his excellent work in movies such as Jab We Met and Kai Po Che and a few web series including Paatal Lok and Hostages.
India has already suffered the demise of 13 film industry celebs in 2020.
