Govt unlocks tourism sites

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has issued a press statement on Friday, announcing the reopening of the tourism sites that were closed after the Covid-19 pandemic.

As per the decision of the ministry, cable cars, jungle safaris and museums would be opened for the tourism activities following proper health security standards, which will be monitored by the line agencies of the ministry.

The Council of Ministers on November 9 had approved to resume tourism activities. The government has already reopened trekking and mountaineering.

The concerned districts will analyze the health hazards and the security risks that can arise due to such activities and make decisions accordingly, the ministry informed.
