Nepal is the most beautiful country in the world: Prince Abdullah
Kathmandu. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has congratulated and shown appreciation to Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani of Qatar, who has successfully scaled Mt Amadablam and is returning home. The ascent of Amadablam was the first in in the autumn season this year
In a program organized on Saturday, Minister Bhattarai thanked the Qatari prince for climbing the mountain amid the corona pandemic and rekindling enthusiasm in Nepali tourism in industry. Bhattarai provided token of love and bade farewell to the summiteers, including Prince Abdullah.
Minister Bhattarai hoped that the tourism industry of Nepal would return to its previous rhythm soon. “Mountaineering by two eminent foreign dignitaries in Nepal has invigorated our tourism industry. Nepal’s tourism will catch its past momentum. I request tourists to visit Nepal following the health safety measures,” the minister said.
This is the eighth Nepal visit of Prince Abdullah since 2009. He said that he was highly impressed by the natural beauty and the hospitability of the Nepali people. He noted that Nepal was the most beautiful country in the world and expressed his wish to visit Nepal again.
He is returning to Qatar on Sunday. Earlier, Prince Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain, along with his expedition team, had successfully climbed Mt Manaslu and returned home in the third week of October.
