Former VDC chairman dies after falling from a Chair

Dang. Resham Bahadur Bhandari, former chairperson of a Village Development Committee in Dang district died yesterday after falling from a chair. 

On Saturday, the 76-year old sustained a serious head injury while he fell from a chair at around 5 in the evening. He was immediately taken to the Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur, where he was diagnosed with brain haemorrhage. He passed away while undergoing treatment at around 11 pm.

Subash Dangi, a ward member of Tulsipur-11 told National News Agency (RSS) that Bhandari had been unwell for a long time. He was in power for nearly two decades. Bhandari was the former chairman of Urhari VDC and also the head of Urhari village panchayat. He also served as the president of the Nepali Congress in Dang Constituency No. 4.
