342 Motorcycles with modified sounds confiscated

Kathmandu, December 25. The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division from Kathmandu has confiscated 342 motorcycles with modified engines and sounds.

According to the Chief of the Police Division, Senior Superintendent of Police Janak Bhattarai, such motorcycle owners have modified their silencers to create loud noise, resulting in air and sound pollution. It causes unnecessary fear amongst the citizens, which is why it is necessary to take action against the owners. The police have been working continuously since a month to find such motorcycles and take actions against them.

The police have been keeping a strict eye on such motorcycles and have advised the public to inform the police if they notice such noise-making motorcycles.
