Dissatisfied Pathao riders revolt against the company

Kathmandu, December 28. The riders of popular ride-sharing comapny ‘Pathao’ have expressed their dissatisfaction, resulting in vandalism at their office in New Baneshwor. The vandalism, which took place on Monday, has caused damage to the office windows.
The riders were reportedly at the office to negotiate their demands, which were earlier put through on December 21. Their demands included commission reduction, accident and treatment insurance, bike insurance, no suspension without pre-information and toll-free number of the company care centre. The company currently takes a commission of 20%, which the riders have demanded to reduce to 8%.
Police have reportedly arrested 26 people involved in the incident.
