Washington. Leaders from 173 countries are set to address the 75th General Assembly of the United Nations next week. The proceedings will be conducted through the use of virtual technology due to the pandemic.

President Donald Trump has abandoned his plan to address the UN General Assembly in person, as reporters were made aware by the White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. He clarified that the President is preparing to address the 75th General Assembly of the United Nations through audio-visual medium.

The UN General Assembly meeting started last Tuesday and is expected to end on September 30. A total of 114 state heads and 54 government heads are attending the meeting. Officials have claimed that high-level discussions regarding various issues of international concern are underway.

President Trump had earlier announced that he would be attending the meeting via a press conference, but now has changed his decision of doing so.
