Parent files an investigation application against Ishaan Children’s Hospital for irregularities in treating a child

Kathmandu. Sabina Mahat Shah, mother of a one-and-a-half-month-old child has put up an application to the Ministry of Health and Population against Ishaan Children’s Hospital. She visited the hospital for the 45-day vaccine for the child. The hospital authorities then kept her child on ventilator after the vaccination stating that the child’s situation was critical. The child was then taken to Kanti Children’s hospital for further treatment.

The director of Ishaan Children’s hospital stated, “the child was born here, therefore she brought him here for vaccination. The child was given the same vaccination as it is given to others.”

The mother of the child said that, “Currently I and my child are at Kanti Children’s hospital and do not want to give any further statement to the media. I want WHO to investigate in this matter.” The director of Kanti Children’s hospital also did not give any comments regarding the child’s health condition.
