Investment collected for Seti River Hydropower Project

Kathmandu. The investment amount required for the Seti River Hydropower Project situated in Kaski has been collected. The 22 MW project will be completed through the investments of two banks – Kumari Bank and Infrastructure Development Bank. Both the parties signed a deal to that effect on Sunday.

According to a promoter of Seti River Hydropower Project, Kumari Bank will invest NRs 2 billion and Infrastructure Bank will invest NRs 1.25 billion. The signatories were Ramchandra Khanal from Kumari Bank, Bhupendra Pandey from Infrastructural Development Bank and promoter Anup Acharya from Seti River Hydropower Project.

A bilateral agreement between the project and Nepal Electricity Authority has already been signed for the purchase of electricity. The construction work is expected to start from November this year.
