Nepalis raise eyebrows over Amitabh’s controversial question in KBC
Kathmandu. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has been asking questions related to Nepal-Indiia border in his reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC), Indian version of the British television quiz show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’
KBC airs in the Indian channel Sony and is one of the hit shows in television. It s more famous for its presenter, the legendary superstar, Amitabh Bachchan. The program has raised a bit more curiosity in Nepal because Bachchan has asked questions of national concern for the Nepali people,
In the latest episode of KBC, he asked a question related to Nepal’s map. “Which country has made a new map in 2020, including Lipulek, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura?”he asked. The question presents the land to be in Indian territory while Nepal has claimed the region to be its integral part.
Nepal and India have not settled the dispute regarding this specific issue. Hence. Nepali audience are surprised by Bachchan’s question.
Earlier, Bachchan had asked another question pertaining to border. “Which river demarcates Nepal’s western border with India, according to the Sugauli Treaty?” he asked.
