Free treatment of COVID-19 patients resuming in Gandaki Province

Pokhara. The meeting of the provincial cabinet of Gandaki province held on Wednesday decided to resume providing free treatment to the COVID-19 patients.

After the news of discontinuing the free tests and treatment hit social media, Spokesperson of Council of Ministers, as well as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Ram Sharan Basnet, urged the people not to believe in the social media comments.

Basnet also informed that the festive allowance of the council of ministers including the Chief Minister will be deposited in the Corona Prevention, Control and Treatment Fund set up by the Gandaki state government to control COVID-19.

Similarly, the Chief Minister, Prithvi Subba Gurung stated that all the 40 members of the provincial assembly of the ruling Nepal Communist Party will also contribute their Dashain allowance to the Corona fund.

The government has urged the people of the province to maintain public health standards while celebrating Nepali festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat and Chhath. RSS.
