Kathmandu. Dinesh Tharu, 27, and Ramesh Chaudhary, 26, of ward -3  Madhuwan Municipality, Bardiya,  were killed in a  tiger attack. The incident took place at the Beljhundi community forest in Dhanauri.

National News Agency (RSS) quotes DSP Yogendra Kumar Khadka of District Police Office Bardiya, who informed, “The wild beast pounced upon Tharu and killed him while he was grazing goats in the forest.  Chaudhary, who went in search of Tharu after he didn’t return  with the goats, was also attacked and killed by the wild cat.”

There had been similar attacks by the feline leading to two casualties earlier.  Locals fear of more attacks in the forest sprawling across the India-Nepal border. Madhuwan Mayor Ganesh Bahadur Chhetri has assured of taking prompt steps to control the man-eater.
