KU students agitated, on a hunger strike

Banepa. Students of Kathmandu University have been agitated by the university’s decision to charge the students fees on other topics besides the online classes. The students have started a protest program after the university issued a notice demanding additional fees.

Students of Kathmandu University School of Engineering, School of Science, School of Law, and School of Management have begun a relay hunger strike at the university’s administrative block precinct alleging the university of charging fees like regular classes.

Shailesh Mishra, an agitating student, said that the students were forced to stage the protest as the university didn’t follow the understanding they had reached earlier..Dean of School of Engineering Dr Dambar Bahadur Nepali informed that the University Administration Board has been notified about the demands of the students and that there would be a decision on the topic soon..
