Seven arrested for stealing motorcycles

Chitwan. District Police, Chitwan have nabbed seven people for stealing and selling motorcycles. The District Police had received various complaints after which they started their search for the bike thieves.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the arrested are Vijay Chaudhary, 28, of Karaiyamai Municipality-5 (currently living in Khairhani Municipality-9), Rakesh Chaudhary, 19,  of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-3 and Mahesh Chaudhary, 24, of Kolhavi Municipality-7. Similarly, Dinesh Gurung, 26, and Manoj Darai, 25, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-11 are found involved in motorcycle theft.

Police have also arrested Sameer Chaudhary, 24, and Amrit Chaudhary, 28, hailing from Khairhani Municipality-12 for buying stolen motorcycles.

The accused have been arrested for stealing motorcycles from Kathar Chowk, Nahar Chowk, Powerhouse Chowk, Bikram Marg, Bhatbhateni Supermarket and other places.

Police said that motorcycles and tools used for stealing were also recovered from the arrested. Chief of District Police Chitwan, SP Nanti Raj Gurung, informed that legal action would be taken against them as per the Civil Crime Code, 2074 BS. (RSS)
