Kathmandu. The Nepal Bankers Association published a notice on Tuesday stating that the banks have decided not to open their Branch Offices from November 14 to 16, during the public holiday of the upcoming festival of Tihar.

According to the Association, the decision was made considering the risk of COVID-19. However, the customers will be facilitated with the digital banking services including ATMs during the holidays.

So far, more than 6,000 bank employees have contracted viral contagion due to which the 365-day services and evening counters are being closed.
