Kathmandu. The United States of America (USA) has provided the Nepali Army six raft boats and four mistral rafts as a gesture of help. The handover of the aid materials took place today (November 10) in a program at the Nepali Army barrack at Gauchar, Kathmandu.

US Defense Attache Lieutenant Colonel John Matt Sova and Chief of Office of Defense Cooperation Major Michael P White handed the materials over to Colonel Rajendra Mani Giri of the Nepali Army.

The Nepali Army believes the materials would be extremely useful in rescue and relief operations during natural disasters like flood.
