Kathmandu. The Nepal National Entrepreneurs Federation issued a press release on Tuesday in which it demanded the government to initiate a diplomatic talk to ease the import of the goods frozen at the Tatopani and Kerung border.

According to the statement, many containers have been stuck for 10 months since the beginning of the lockdown. The Chinese side is allowing only one, or at most two containers, a day to enter Nepal. This has showcased the inability of the Nepal’s government to take proactive steps towards diplomatically solving this matter.

Stating that the long-running syndicate could not be ended, the federation stated that there has been a huge increase in the fare of containers at the checkpoints recently.

The federation also warned the government that if the problem does not get solved immediately, then the businessmen of the federation will conduct a sit-in protest in the checkpoints.
