Dipak Raj Joshi awarded the prestigious ‘Tourism Heroes Award’

Kathmandu. Dipak Raj Joshi, former CEO of Nepal Tourism Board and coordinator of the Tourism Recovery Taskforce-Nepal, has been conferred the prestigious ‘Tourism Heroes Award’ this year.

World Tourism Network has honored Joshi  for his exemplary role in sustainable development and promotion of the tourism sector, positive contribution  and his active involvement in the campaign  to revive the tourism industry devastated by the corona pandemic.

Joshi has become the first person to receive the award from South Asia and has become the only Nepali to get the membership of the ‘International Hall of Tourism Heroes’. This announcement is the highest recognition and award in the international tourism industry in the world.

After receiving the award, Joshi has thanked prominent international personalities in the field of  tourism for choosing him for the award and said that he has been inspired to work for the development  and resurrection of tourism.
