Kathmandu. A  helipad has been constructed, following the latest standards in technology, at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence  in Baluwatar. With the construction of the helipad, it is expected that the traffic management during the PM’s visit to and from different national and international destinations will be eased.

The helipad officially came into operation after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made a visit  to Sankhuwasabha on Wednesday in a Nepali Army helicopter.

The Nepali Army had carried the construction with the technical assistance from CAAN. The helipad can accommodate Mi-17, the larges helicopter in service in Nepal  at present.
