Kathmandu. Nepali leg-spinner and member of the national cricket team Sandeep Lamichhane arrived in Kathmandu, on Thursday morning, after the completion of IPL 2020 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Sandeep has returned to Nepal after about three months since he left for the West Indies, to play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) on July 15.

Sandeep, who played for Jamaica’s Talawaj in the CPL, had taken 12 wickets in 10 matches. Based on his performance in the CPL, he arrived in the UAE with high hopes of playing in the IPL, 2020.

But sadly, after joining the Delhi Capitals in the IPL, he had to return without the chances to play in a single game. Sandeep, who is active on social media, posted on Twitter a few hours after his arrival in Nepal. He wrote, “The story is not over, it is starting slowly.” He has a strong sense of will power and it is clear through his tweet.

Despite not being able to play in the IPL, he is sure to play in the Big Bash League (BBL) this time. After spending some time in Nepal with his family, he will leave for Australia for the BBL. Raman Shivakoti, technical analyst of the Nepali cricket team, said that the team he will play for in the BBL will be decided by Sunday.
