England, Pakistan cricket teams to meet in Pakistan soil after 16 years
Kathmandu. The England Cricket Team is travelling to Pakistan after 16 years to play a two-match T-20 series on October 14 and 15 in 2021. Karachi has been selected as the venue for the game.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and England Cricket Board (ECB) have agreed to play the series before the T-20 World Cup next year. As per the schedule fixed between the two teams, the England Cricket Team will reach Pakistan on October 12, 2021 and after playing the matches on October 14 and 15, travel to India on October 16.
The last time England team had traveled to Pakistan was in 2005 for a series of three tests and five one-day matches. The two teams had met in UAE again in 2012 and 2015. The October series is taken as a trial to the T-20 World Cup being held in India the following month. It has already been announced that the England team is travelling to Pakistan for a test series in 2022.
