Kathmandu. A US analyst, Harry Kazianis has claimed that China provided coronavirus vaccine to Kim Jong Un and his family, citing two unnamed Japanese intelligence sources. It does not however reveal the name of the Chinese company that provided the vaccine to the Kim family and also doesn’t tell anything about how efficient and safe the vaccine is.

According to an article in Reuters, Kazianis said, “Kim Jong Un and multiple other high-ranking officials within the Kim family and leadership network have been vaccinated for coronavirus within the last two to three weeks thanks to a vaccine supplied by the Chinese government.”

US medical scientist Peter J. Hottage said at least three Chinese companies, including Sinovac Biotech Ltd, CanSinoBio and Sinophram Group are developing coronavirus vaccines. Sinophram also claims that one million people in China have used its vaccine, although neither of the companies has launched their phase three trials.

North Korea has not confirmed any coronavirus cases but South Korea’s intelligence agency claims that chances cannot be ruled out as they have had people-to-people exchanges with China.
