PM Oli pledges Rs 300 million fund to Pashupati Area Development Trust

Kathmandu, January 29. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, suddenly reached Pashupatinath temple without formally informing the Pashupati Area Development Trust. During the visit to Pashupatinath Temple PM Oli lit 1.5 lakh lamps and wished for the betterment of himself and national welfare by worshipping with determination.

After spending about one and a half hour at the Pashupatinath Temple, PM Oli also observed the Pashupatinath Temple. Some have also interpreted and analyzed PM Oli visit to Pashupatinath Temple by connecting with the political motives. However, the effect of political motives is not yet seen.

After the establishment of the republic, only few visitors visit the Pashupatinath temple. PM Oli, who has been the country’s prime minister twice, has visited pashupatinath Temple three years after a two-thirds majority government was formed.

PM Oli, who reached Pashupatinath without informing the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust, while visiting the Temple, saw a (silver jalari laha) at the Pashupatinath temple. After that the Prime Minister Oli asked the Trust officials why the Silver jewellery filling (silver jalari) is dirty.

In response, the trust officials said that the fund had planned to keep the gold jewellery filling (gold Jalari) but it could not be completed due to lack of funds. After hearing response, Prime Minister Oli asked about the cost.

Answering the question of PM Oli the Trust officials said that the work would be completed if they have Rs 300 million. Immediately after that, the Prime Minister had promised the government will provide Rs 300 million for the gold jewellery filling (gold Jalari).

Dr. Ghanshyam Khatiwada, Director of Pashupati Area Development Trust, informed DC Nepal that the work of replacing the gold jewellery filling (gold Jalari) has started from Friday. However, Prime Minister Oli said that the government will provide Rs 300 million but still trust have not received the fund. However, the Trust has stated that the amount has been delayed due to the process.
