India’s Olympian wrestler Sushil Kumar arrested in murder case

Kathmandu, May 23. India’s Olympian wrestler Sushil Kumar has been arrested in a murder case. The Delhi police had been searching for him since 20 days, also announcing a reward of INR 100 thousand for those providing leads for his arrest.

Delhi police said that Sushil Kumar and a co-accused were arrested from northwest Delhi.

Kumar is accused of killing 23-year-old Sagar Rana at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi. A non-bailable warrant was issued against him and six others.

He had also sought for protection from the court denying the allegations, but the court dismissed his bail plea.

Sushil Kumar won a bronze medal in 2008 Beijing Olympics and a silver medal in 2012 London Olympics.
