China to provide 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines on grant to Nepal

The announcement is made after President Bhandari's call with President Xi on Wednesday

Kathmandu, May 27. China has announced to provide Nepal with 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

A telephone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Bidya Devi Bhandari was held on Wednesday after which the announcement was made.

Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Hao Yanqi revealed through her Twitter account, “During today’s phone conversation with Nepali President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China will provide 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal under grant assistance.”

Earlier, China has provided Nepal with 800,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines through grant assistance.
