Fake sanitizer racket busted, one arrested from Sano Bharyang

Kathmandu, June 8. A team of Nepal Police has arrested a person on the charge of his involvement in the production of fake beauty products including hand sanitizers.

According to the Metropolis Police Range(Kathmandu), 24-year-old Deepak Shrestha of Dhading was arrested from Sano Bharyang in Kathmandu.

The special team was deployed on the basis of a tip that Shrestha and two indian nationals were running an illegal business of counterfeit cosmetic products. Thankot-living Roshan Jaiswal is the second member.

Jaiswal and Shrestha had rented a room in Sano Bharyang for their illegal factory named “Srinath Herbal and Cosmetic Industry Pvt Ltd.”

The Police Force raided the site and confiscated 200 cartoons of hand sanitizers fake branded under the logos of several Indian companies.

Metropolis Range Spokesperson Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar Basnet informed RSS that the site was sealed and the Police are searching for Jaiswal and his absconding friend.
