30 teams to compete in Leo Social Business Challenge 2021
Kathmandu, June 10. Leo District Council 325 B1 is preparing to stage a virtual international business-pitching competition “Leo Social Business Challenge 2021”, where young minds from more than 5 countries will be giving an impactful elaborative business pitch of their new social enterprise ideas.
The program aims that the young participants will come up with viable, feasible, and a workable business idea that aims to solve existing problems of the society and maximize the benefits to society and the environment.
Based on initial drafts of the pitching videos and documents submitted by the interested participants worldwide, a panel of experts handpicked 30 best teams on Thursday.
Yesterday, the selected teams and participants were given brief guidelines, timetable workouts, and rules and regulations of the seven-day workshop, which is scheduled to begin today.
Every participant will be provided workshops on design thinking, business plan development, marketing, finance, virtually.
Coordinator of the Program, Mr. Susan Dangol told DCNepal, “All the selected teams will get team-wise personal mentors who will guide them to furnish their business ideas and on making an impactful business pitch so as to not only win the Leo Social Business Challenge 2021 but also make them ready to actually start their business in the real world.”
The winners of the competition will receive a cash prize of NRs. 60,000 in-kind prize pool worth Rs. 1 million.
