Government suspends 19 medical stores in Kathmandu valley

Kathmandu, November 9. The Department of Drug Administration has suspended 19 medical shops in the Kathmandu valley for failing to follow state guidelines.

In September and October, the drug regulatory administration took action against the pharmaceutical stores because they were operating without the state’s permission. Due to violation of the Drugs Act, the stores are denied to operate for the next fifteen days.

Here are the names of some drug stores suspended by the administration:

  • Luksi Vetpharma, Koteshwor
  • Gandhi Manohara Community Health Centre, Kageshwori Manahara
  • Sapantirtha Pharmacy, Tokha
  • Prakritik Baipas Pharmacy
  • Jhorali Pharmacy
  • Tokha Emergency Medical Hall
  • Nandakrishna Pharmacy
  • Subedi Pharmacy
  • Anamol Pharmacy
  • Siddhi Pharmacy etc.

The Department of Drug Administration has urged pharmacy businesses across the country to begin operations only after registering with the department.
