Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation sinks into 17 crores of debt, urges government to take ownership of the Stadium

Kathmandu, December 23. It has been nearly five months that the Dhurmus Suntali foundation has stopped construction work at the stadium.

According to media reports, the foundation owes over NPR 17 crores in debt due to which it is currently running away from responsibilities

The foundation has also been pleading with Bharatpur Metropolis to take ownership of the Stadium.

On Wednesday, the Bharatpur Transmission Centre of the Nepal Electricity Authority cut off the power supply to the stadium.

An engineer from the transmission centre told reporters that NEA was forced to cut off the power supply as the Foundation failed to pay electricity bills since a long time.

He also confirmed that the tariff dues have reached NPR 8.87 Lakhs.
