Brad Pitt sues ex-wife Angelina Jolie for selling stake
Kathmandu, February 19. Brad Pitt has sued ex-wife Angelina Jolie for selling her stake of a French winery that they had bought together.
She sold it to a Russian businessman. It was the same winery where the ex-couple had got married.
A lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles on Thursday where Pitt has revealed that Jolie broke their agreement not to sell their interests in Chateau Miraval without the other’s consent.
The winery has an annual revenue of over $50 million. Pitt said that he has “poured money and sweat equity” to make it one of the most respected winery around the world.
While buyout talks between the two fell out, Jolie in January 2021 told Pitt that she had reached a “painful decision” of selling her stake of Miraval. According to the lawsuit, she could no longer own the winery due to personal objections.
