Kathmandu, March 18. Indian film director Vivek Agnihotri has been granted Y-category by the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday. Agnihotri is the director of the recently released movie “The Kashmir Files”.

According to an official from the Indian Ministry, there is a threat for the director’s life and hence the security will be with him all over India.

The movie is said to be based on true incidents of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir in the 90s. After the release, the movie has stirred a lot of controversies.

Moreover, the film has been declared tax-free in most states in India, as BJP has been widely supporting the movie. However, the opposition has called the movie one-sided and too violent.
