PM Deuba tables government’s policies and programs

Kathmandu, May 24. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday tabled the government’s policies and programs for the fiscal year 2022/23. It was put forward at the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR).

The policy and program was presented by President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s at the joint sitting of both the Houses of the Federal Parliament.

Further, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota thanked the Head of the State for addressing the joint sitting of both the Houses of the Federal Parliament.

The next meeting of House of Representatives is scheduled for May 26. Additionally, May 26 and May 27 has been fixed for further discussion of government’s policies and programs.

Government plans to establish two medical colleges in each province

The Government has launched plans to establish two medical colleges in each province through the new policies and programs presented in the House of Representatives(HoR) meeting on Tuesday.

President Bhandari said that airlifting the vulnerable expecting and new mothers in remote areas will be further streamlined. Telemedicine service will be launched to render healthcare services in remote areas, added the Head of the State. 

President Bhandari emphasized that the government worked hard to combat COVID-19, adding that capacities of pharmaceutical companies will be increased along with productions of medicines and oxygen.
