Kathmandu, July 18. The members of the Upper House on Monday demanded an immediate solution to waste management in Kathmandu Valley.
Member Gomadevi Timilsina of CPN (Unified Socialist) party complained that the streets of Kathmandu have turned almost unwalkable due to waste piles.
Moreover, the outbreak of Cholera spread and improper waste management has created a struggling situation for the public. “A machine manufactured in Hetauda could help in managing the waste,” Timilsina noted.
Dil Kumari Rawal of CPN (UML) added that the government has failed to address people’s problems. “The leaders of the ruling government should overlook their personal interest and should be serious with public issues.”
