Indian PM Modi calls French President Macron, discusses bilateral ties

Kathmandu, August 17. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron engaged in a telephonic conversation on Tuesday. The two discussed on bilateral ties, collaboration and cooperation in defense and civil nuclear energy.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office of India, the two leaders talked over important geopolitical challenges that included matters of global food security.
Further, both the leaders expressed satisfaction for deepening relations and pledged to work together in more areas of mutual concern.
Indian PM Modi also expressed his solidarity with President Macron for the wildfires spread in France.
