Pakistan ex-prime minister Imran Khan shot and wounded in rally

Kathmandu, November 3. Pakistan’s ex-prime minister Imran Khan was shot and wounded during a campaign rally at eastern Pakistan on Thursday. The attack killed one of his supporters and injured nine others.

While the shooter was immediately arrested at the scene, he has confessed that his target was Khan and he acted alone in a video shared by the police.

Further, Khan has been mobilizing rallies around the country since he was ousted in April. He has claimed that present prime minister Sharif and Washington worked together for his ouster. Both denied the allegations.

Khan has been shot in his leg and was taken in a hospital in Lahore for treatment.

The shooter has been identified as Faisal Butt by Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb.
