Kathmandu, March 9. Nepal’s third presidential election is currently in its voting phase. 

Members of the federal and provincial parliaments have gathered on the premise of the International Conference Centre, New Baneswar to vote in the election.

“The voting process started at 10 am today. The parliamentary members who are lined up at the center will be allowed to cast their vote till 3 pm today,” election officer Maheshraj Paudel said.

Paudel also said that separate polling booths have been installed for federal and provincial members.

Both candidates have already cast their ballots in the nine-party ruling coalition: opposition leader Subash Chandra Nembang of the CPN-UML and senior leader Ramchandra Poudel of the Nepali Congress.
