Kathmandu, April 21. Pushpa Raj Joshi, the Examination Controller of Tribhuvan University, announced on Thursday that the Bachelor first-year examinations, originally scheduled for April 23, have been postponed to April 29.

According to Joshi, the postponement was necessary due to the by-election for the House of Representatives (HoR) member in three constituencies, which is also scheduled for April 29. “We had to reschedule the examinations,” Joshi told reporters.

Joshi added that the decision to postpone the exams was made by the TU Central Examination Conduction Committee, after taking into account requests from the Election Commission, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
