Nepal Airlines set to launch commercial flights between Kathmandu and Gulmi

Kathmandu, April 29. A 9N-ABT aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation’s (NAC) has made a successful test flight from Kathmandu to Resunga Airport, paving the way for commercial flights in Gulmi district.

According to Yograj Kandel, the spokesperson of the Nepal Airlines Operators Association, “the NAC plans to begin commercial flights after carrying out a technical assessment based on today’s successful test flight.”

Kandel further continued, “The travel fare and the number of passengers per flight would be determined after the study, but the plane fare could be around Rs 6,000 per person for Resunga-Kathmandu flight.”

Following the successful test flight, Mayor of Resunga Municipality Khildhowj Panthi expressed his happiness to reporters, stating that “the dream of people in the area to travel to Kathmandu by air transport is turning into a reality.”
