Kathmandu, June 24. Nepal and the Republic of Cameroon have officially established diplomatic relations. This brings the total number of countries with which Nepal has diplomatic ties to 180.

The signing ceremony took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Thursday, with Ambassador Amrit Bahadur Rai of Nepal and Ambassador Michel Tommo Monthe of Cameroon signing a Joint Communiqué.

The ambassadors had productive discussions, focusing on areas of mutual interest and the potential for increased cooperation on national and international platforms, especially within the United Nations forums.

The establishment of diplomatic relations with Cameroon opens up opportunities for collaboration in various fields such as trade, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges. This achievement highlights Nepal’s ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations globally and promote cooperation with countries from different regions.
