3,757 Houses in Kavrepalanchowk at High Risk of Monsoon Disasters

Kavre, July 13. As many as 3,757 houses are at high risk of monsoon-induced disasters in the district this year, according to monitoring and evaluation data.

The data highlighted that the highest number of residents facing high-risk situations is from Mandandeupur Municipality. The information was shared during a meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee, where the Kavrepalanchowk Chapter of the Nepal Red Cross Society presented the data.

The data highlighted that a total of 3,757 households in the district are highly vulnerable to natural disasters. Among them, Mandandeupur municipality has the highest number of 785 households facing such risks, while Bethanchowk Rural Municipality has the lowest number with 158 households at high risk.

Considering the gravity of the situation, the committee emphasized the importance of adopting safety measures for the households identified as high risk.
