British Army Chief of Staff Meets Prime Minister Prachanda to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Kathmandu, Jan 30: General Sir Patrick Sanders, the Chief of Staff of the British Army, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, widely known as ‘Prachanda.’ The meeting, held at the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, focused on Nepal-UK relations, mutual interests, and various matters of shared concern. Both parties also explored opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation.

During the discussions, Prime Minister Dahal expressed sincere gratitude to Britain, acknowledging its continuous support as Nepal’s primary development partner in the socio-economic upliftment of the country.

The courtesy meeting was attended by the Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the British Ambassador to Nepal, and senior officials from the British Embassy in Nepal.

Earlier in the day, General Sir Patrick Sanders also had a polite meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, as well as Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma, where matters of mutual interest and cooperation were further discussed.
