Mahajatra Sets New Records in Australian Market for Nepali Films
Kathmandu, Apr 15: The Nepali film ‘Mahajatra’ has achieved remarkable success in Sydney, Australia, establishing itself as a powerhouse in the international market. Surpassing the previous record set by ‘Jatrai Jatra’ with 27 shows, ‘Mahajatra’ broke new ground with its 28th show, marking a historic milestone in Nepali cinema.
Roshan Bhattarai of Sydney exhibitor Rotaping expressed excitement over the overwhelming response, noting that ‘Mahajatra’ had sold out all its shows, surpassing all previous records. The film’s success is not limited to Sydney alone, as Diaspora distributor MSM Entertainments anticipates breaking records across various countries, including the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and the UK.
Executive producer Rabindrasingh Baniyan emphasized the film’s widespread appeal and its potential to create new benchmarks both domestically and internationally. With its engaging storyline and stellar performances, ‘Mahajatra’ has captivated audiences worldwide, propelling it to unprecedented success.
