Janakpur, May 4: In light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Bhanjharpur parliamentary constituency of Madhuvani district, India, scheduled for May 7, 2024, the Lok Sabha Jayanagar-Janakpur-Bhangaha train service will be temporarily suspended for three days.

Nepal Railway Company Limited issued a notification today, stating that the train service will be halted for three days due to the elections. The closure is in accordance with the electoral regulations, which require the train service to cease operations 24 hours prior to the election date.

As a result, the Jayanagar-Janakpur-Bhangaha train service will be suspended starting tomorrow until Tuesday. This decision follows the directive from the Border District Coordination Committee, comprising representatives from both Nepal and India, to seal the Indo-Nepal International Border during this period.
