Kathmandu, May 18: Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been banned for one match due to a slow over rate during their last match of the season against the Lucknow Supergiants. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) imposed the ban and a fine of Rs 30 lakh as this was Mumbai’s third slow over rate offense this season.

As a result, Hardik Pandya will miss the first match of the IPL 2025 season. The Mumbai Indians have completed all 14 group stage matches and are at the bottom of the standings this season.

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant faced a similar suspension earlier this season for a slow over rate.
